ANN SYMONDS, Director
Ann has been advising clients on business and employment related
immigration issues for over twenty years, during which time she
established and ran immigration teams for Arthur Andersen and
DLA (now DLA Piper). Ann advises organisations across a broad range of market
sectors on all aspects of UK business immigration. She also
advises multi-national organisations on global immigration
policy, strategy and management as well as general issues
concerning the movement of personnel around the world. She is a
regular speaker at international immigration and relocation
conferences.
Ann established ASG Immigration in January 2002.

MATTHEW AMOILS, Director (Sydney, Australia)
Matthew studied law in South Africa where he was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court in 1996 and began his career, handling a variety of legal matters. He subsequently spent a year and a half specialising in US immigration with one of the leading practices in the US before moving to the UK, where he was admitted as a Solicitor in 2003 (currently non-practising) prior to continuing his career in immigration. Matthew was appointed a director of ASG in April 2006 and relocated to Australia in late 2008. He continues to focus on both UK and US immigration matters, including consular processing.

CLAIRE NILSON, Associate
Claire has been working in the field of US immigration law since 2002 and joined ASG in 2011. She is licensed as a lawyer in three jurisdictions, being a US Attorney (admitted to the New York Bar); a UK Solicitor (non-practising) and an Attorney, Trinidad & Tobago. Claire graduated from De Montfort University, England with a Bachelor of Law with German and spent part of her degree studying at the University of Mainz, Germany, where she became proficient in the language. Following a number of years practising in New York, Claire ran her own firm in Trinidad & Tobago before relocating to the UK in 2011. Claire is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), the Law Society of England & Wales and the Law Association of Trinidad & Tobago and has frequently written and lectured on US immigration law issues.

KATIE FONTEYN, Senior Immigration Adviser
Katie joined ASG in 2007, after studying in Birmingham and graduating with a law degree the previous year. She advises clients on UK immigration law and assists a variety of organisations, large and small, on the transfer of senior executives and specialist workers into the UK under various categories, including those within the Points-Based System. She also handles complex matters for private individuals, including discretionary applications and applications under European Law.

JEN GREENWOOD, Senior Immigration Adviser
Jen was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 1999 (currently non-practising) and has specialised in UK immigration law since 2003. She advises individual and corporate clients on a wide range of immigration and nationality issues, including appeals. She has extensive experience in advising on complex discretionary leave applications and has advised on inter-country adoptions. Jen has also advised corporate clients on sponsor licensing and compliance issues, as well as applications under the Points Based System and has advised private clients wishing to invest or establish businesses in the UK. Jen joined ASG Immigration Limited in October 2010.

DOMINIC HIGGINS, Immigration Adviser Dominic graduated from University College London in 2005 with a degree in Law with French Law, incorporating a diploma in French legal studies from the University of Aix-Marseilles. He spent three years specialising in Australian and Canadian immigration before deciding to specialise in UK immigration and joining ASG in May 2010. During his career he has worked in Spain, South Africa and France as well as the UK and is proficient in French and Spanish. Dominic assists private and corporate clients with a range of applications, including citizenship, settlement, Points-Based System and EU-law based applications. He also advises employers on sponsorship and compliance issues.

ROSS KENNEDY, Immigration Adviser Ross graduated from University College London in 2003 with a degree in Classics. He joined the Civil Service in 2006 where he worked for the Ministry of Defence and the Treasury Solicitor's Department on appeals to Tribunals, the High Court and the Court of Sessions. He joined ASG in May 2010 and now advises a variety of organisations and private individuals on immigration into the UK under both UK law and European law. His work includes advising on licences to sponsor individuals under the Points-Based System, applications for entry clearance, extensions of stay and indefinite leave to remain as well as applications for European residence documentation.
